I love my customers!

I have some of the best customers... especially the returning ones who tell me how wonderful my work is and how much they love it. It lifts my spirits!

I have this friend Cher (aka Malicious Intent). Well, I have never met her in person.... just through Etsy and she is one of my best customers too! She is so sweet and kind and hilarious! makes me laugh all the time.

Getting back into it.

Pottery. It's where I began. Yet, my creations started moving towards jewelry early on. It grew on me so quickly. And I sort of forgot about pottery. It is a HUGE process making pottery. It's messy and it requires lots of planning and preparing and lots of caution and safety. It also requires you to not be clumsy, because once the clay dries, it becomes this fragile piece of work - SOOO fragile. Sure, jewelry is just as fragile, but its tiny, and you're less likely to break it. Just picking up a bowl wrong could cause it to break right in your hand.

CUSTOM ORDERS.....

Custom orders are great! And they have been coming in like crazy lately. I love them, but don't know what to think of them. I have had a few where they just forget they ever ordered it, or change their minds (and don't reply to my messages!). Because of this I should be charging them at least half before I make the piece!

Morning

I have learned that morning time is the best time to start working. I mean literally right when I wake up, thats one of the first things I do! Of course today I am not following my goal of doing this, but it will happen.

I feel most creative and energized and ready to create and work!! Its an awesome feeling. The computer has been dragging me down. I know that I HAVE to promote my work online, but I need to save it for afternoon promotions or something. It's hard working for yourself and having to be in charge of what has to get done and getting it done.... laziness takes over!

YAY!

I am excited to announce that I got into the Art in the Park at Dinosaur Caves in Shell Beach, California! It's a once a month show, first Sunday of the month- from May til November! I plan on going all out for this show. It's close to my home, and its in a wonderful spot overlooking the ocean! More details and fliers for the shows soon! Email me at: kellyraesmik@gmail.com if you want to be put on my mailing list!!!

Movin' along.

I created some new and interesting pieces this week. Incense Burners. But not just your ordinary incense burner. These are made with clay and I melted colored glass on them during the firing. I am very excited about them. Hope you like.

Time to Catch up on What's New!

Lean Dog Jewelry seems to be in effect.... more so than the pottery. My interest in creating jewelry has really gone crazy! I truly do love working on the wheel making pottery pieces, but jewelry requires less work and I think that is where I have been standing for the past couple months.

SOAP DISHES!

I have soap dishes galore. Check them out in my shop. I created them with your soap in mind. I carved out lines and poked holes for the water to drain and to keep your soap from becoming a mushy mess!
